The picture has an image plate (2) e.g. photo and art paint, which images a scene to be represented, and a light plate (3) on which the image plate is arranged. The light plate is arranged such that the light plate covers the image plate. The image and/or light plates include recesses or supporting structures, where one of the recesses transmit light larger or smaller than the other recesses. The image plate lies between a front plate (1) and the light plate. The image and light plates are interconnected using a transparent adhesive layer (4). A light source e.g. LED, organic LED, neon lamp, halogen lamp and energy-saving lamp (6), is firmly arranged behind the light plate. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an illumination picture.
