METHOD FOR PREPARING SPONGE TITANIUM WITH IMPROVED PRODUCTIVITY AND APPARATUS FOR PREPARING SPONGE TITANIUM

PURPOSE: A fine sponge Ti(Titanium) manufacturing method with improved productivity and a manufacturing apparatus thereof are provided to increase reaction time of TiCl4(Titanium Tetrachloride) and magnesium because the TiCl4 is injected to a reaction vessel through pores of porous refractory materials as small bubbles. CONSTITUTION: A fine sponge Ti manufacturing method is as follows. Liquid TiCl4 is injected in a reaction vessel(11) containing liquid reducing agent and the injected TiCl4 is reacted with the reducing agent, thereby manufacturing sponge Ti(14). The liquid TiCl4 is injected to the reaction vessel through porous refractory materials(13). The porous refractory materials exists in the end of an injecting pipe(12) for injecting the TiCl4 to the reaction vessel.
