<p>Steering control device for vehicles with a column and handlebar, such as motorcycles, tricycles and quadricycles, applicable for the purpose of maintaining control of a turn from a command unit, avoiding loss thereof as a result of external interactions, produced by lateral forces exerted against the wheel and that can cause loss of steering control and vehicle stability. One of the direct applications of the present invention is to vehicle column and handlebar steering systems, providing through the proposed device absolute control of steering, achieving blocking of lateral thrusts from obstacles in the way and which normally must be absorbed by the vehicle's pilot through the handlebar. The device, which directs such external forces to the vehicle frame (1), comprises a cover (17) which has a direct connection through rollers (16) to a chain wheel (15), such chain wheel being commanded to produce voluntary turns sent from the handlebar (23), and working as elements that absorb and block the external forces sent by the wheel, received by the steering bars (20) and transmitted by the upper steering stem (6) to a ratchet drive (7) which activates the floating rollers (13), the latter pushed by the coil springs (14), producing the blocking of the unwanted forces in the inner tie rod (4), which has a direct connection with the frame (1) through a device lock plate (3).</p> |
