PURPOSE: An apparatus for cooling hot materials is provided to increase the width directional quality of hot materials by maintaining the distribution of flow in width direction. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for cooling hot materials comprises a header unit(120). Cooling water is supplied to a feeder. The supply quantity of the cooling water is lower than the discharging quantity in the feeder. The cooling water is supplied through the feeding hole in the feeding unit. The cooling water is discharged to the outside of the feeder through the discharging hole. The area of the feeding hole is less than 50% of the area of the discharging area.
