<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load control device capable of allowing rush current to completely flow at starting a load while controlling the power consumed by a control part and a gate drive part. <P>SOLUTION: The load control device includes an opening/closing part 11 using a switch element having a transistor structure being connected in series to a commercial power supply 6 and a load 7, a control part 12 for controlling start and stop of the load, a gate drive part 13 isolated from the control part 12 for outputting a gate drive signal to a gate electrode of the switch element, and a power supply part 14 for obtaining the power to drive the control part 12 and the gate drive part 13. The control part 12 causes the gate drive part 13 to supply a drive power larger than that for normal stable operation to the gate electrode of the switch element for a predetermined period of time at starting up the load 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
