<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which facilitates custodian-based routing. <P>SOLUTION: The system receives a request associated with a part of a content by a calculation device functioning as a backup custodian for one or more portable devices from a request source device mapping the content to the calculation device based upon the name of the content without using the physical address of the calculation device. The system determines whether the content is usable on the calculation device. In response to a determination that the content is not usable on the calculation device, the system identifies a portable device which stores the content, and acquires the content from the identified portable device. Then the system stores the content in a cache by the calculation device so as to provide the content at a subsequent request without connecting the calculation device to the identified portable device, and provides the content for the request source device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
