<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retrieval support device and method allowing general users to use a query, which is not known in general but is known in a community having common interest. <P>SOLUTION: A retrieval support device 1 comprises: a community relevant word database 21 for storing community relevant words in connection with a prescribed community; a community relevant query extraction storage section 11 for storing a query which includes the community relevant words stored in the community relevant database 21 as a community relevant query; a characteristic query specification section 12 for specifying a query as a characteristic query when a general query used by a user who does not belong to the community and a community relevant query are compared and as a result they do not match partially; and a guiding query specification section 13 for specifying a partially matched query as a guiding query. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
