<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, when a magnetic substance core is divided and a recording material is made to pass the end side thereof according to the size of the recording material, as passing paper, the heat quantity drawn by the recording material is extremely small at the end portion of the recording material with respect to a paper passage area to cause an excessive temperature rise, and the durability performance of a fixing belt is significantly deteriorated by the excessive temperature rise, thus requiring to reduce the temperature rise at the recording material end portion. <P>SOLUTION: The image heating device includes: first magnetic flux adjusting means that changes a density distribution in the longitudinal direction of an operating magnetic flux to a heating rotor by making it possible to move the end side in the longitudinal direction of a magnetic core; and second magnetic flux adjusting means that changes the density distribution in the longitudinal direction of the operating magnetic flux to the heating rotor by screening the operating magnetic flux to the heating rotor at the longitudinal end side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
