<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device in which the assemblability of a support member is improved while holding the cross-sectional shape of the support member and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device comprises a fixing belt, a pressure roller coming into press-contact with the outer circumferential surface of the fixing belt, a support member which is fixed to the inside of the fixing belt and whose outer circumferential surface rubs on the inner circumferential surface of the fixing belt, heating means heating the support member, and a flange member 28 which comprises a cylindrical part 28a which is inserted into the inner diameter part of the end of the support member in its axial direction and holds the shape of the vicinity of the end of the support member and a flange part 28b fixed to the frame of the fixing device and can be attached and detached to and from the frame of the fixing device, in such a state that the flange member 28 holds the support member. The flange member 28 includes a guide part 28d which is extended and provided in the axial direction of the cylindrical part 28a in a part of the circumference of the cylindrical part 28a, includes inclined surfaces 28d1 and 28d2 which are inclined toward the center side of the cylinder as it goes to the top end in the axial direction on the outer circumferential surface side of the cylindrical part 28a and rubs on the inner circumferential part of the support member and guides the inner circumferential part of the support member onto the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical part 28a, when the cylindrical part 28a is inserted into the inner diameter part of the end of the support member in its axial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
