<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus which can reduce occurrence of packet losses even when power saving mode does not work as stipulated, and a control method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The communication apparatus has a power saving mode in which an active state for receiving data from some other communication apparatus and a snooze state for not receiving data from the other communication apparatus are switched over in a time-multiplexed manner as it communicates. In the power saving mode, if control information is received from the other communication apparatus and the received control information indicates that data to be acquired from the other communication apparatus exists, the communication apparatus requests data from the other communication apparatus. If a prescribed time elapses while the communication apparatus, after receiving control information indicating that data to be acquired exists, not receiving the data it requested from the other communication apparatus, the communication apparatus has its operation mode transitioned from the power saving mode to another mode in which the active state continues. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
