<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a sample for electron microscope observation suitably employed for observation of a fine structure of a steel material. <P>SOLUTION: A method for preparing a sample for electron microscope observation to be employed for observation of a steel material with an electron microscope, comprises: a surface treatment step of subjecting an electrolytically polished sample obtained by electrolytically polishing a steel material to a surface treatment using an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide in a concentration of 0.1 mass% or more and 0.5 mass% or less or an aqueous solution of ascorbic acid or ascorbate in a concentration of 0.1 mass% or more and 0.5 mass% or less; and a dry step of drying the electrolytically polished sample after the surface treatment step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
