<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of remodeling an air conditioner, capable of reducing the usage of fossil fuel and suppressing a running cost and a CO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>emission without requiring large-scale modification of an existing air conditioner. <P>SOLUTION: A typical configuration of the method of remodeling the air conditioner is a method of remodeling an air conditioner (existing air conditioner 100) for outside air treatment, which at least includes a preheating coil 108, a steam type humidifier 114, a cooling coil 110 and a reheating coil 112. An outside air conditioner (outside conditioner 300) having a hot water coil 308, a cooling coil 310 and an evaporating type humidifier 314 is connected to the upstream side of an air draft passage of the air conditioner. Hot water supply piping 306a for supplying hot water to the cooling coil 110 from a heat pump 306 is added in addition to cold water supply piping 106a for supplying cold water to the cooling coil 110.
