A WIRE GRID POLARIZER, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY INCLUDING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A wire grid polarizer and a liquid crystal display device using the same are provided to form a wire grid polarizer, which includes first and second grid patterns, on a film type transparent substrate, which has birefringence. CONSTITUTION: A wire grid polarizer includes a film type transparent substrate(110), first grid patterns(120), and second grid patterns(130). The film type transparent substrate has birefringence. The first grid patterns are formed on the transparent substrate. The second grid patterns are formed by metal materials on the first grid patterns. The wire grid polarizer adjusts transmittance according to heights and widths of two grids.
