WELDING TOOL FOR FRICTION STIR PROCESS

PURPOSE: A welding tool for an FSP(Friction Stir Process) is provided to maximize the effect of modifying the surface of the weld part while the tool is formed into the shape proper for the curve of a contact portion between a base metal and a weld toe. CONSTITUTION: A welding tool(50) for an FSP(Friction Stir Process) is fixed to a rotary spindle shaft. The welding tool comprises a cylinder-shaped shoulder(51) and a tool pin(53). The tool pin is connected to the lower part of the shoulder, and vertically extended. The diameter of the shoulder is larger than the diameter of the tool pin. The lower part of the shoulder is protruded outward to a curvature radius(R1). The end part of the tool pin is protrude outward to a curvature(r1) radius.
