PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and driving method thereof are provided to increase driving stability and performance by reducing power consumption and heat from a data driver according to charge share and pre-charge driving. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display panel(110) displays images by using light from a backlight unit(140). The liquid crystal display panel includes a liquid crystal between upper and lower substrates. A backlight driving unit(150) controls on-off time, luminance and duty of the backlight. A gate driver(120) generates a scan signal to drive a TFT which is respectively formed on a plurality of pixels. A data driver(130) includes a plurality of source drive ICs(132). |
