<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that is configured to execute the writing control of a replacement member at a receiving unit only by the opening and closing operation of the receiving unit, without using a particular configuration, even when a large replacement member is received. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes a receiving unit 1A1, which removably supports an ink cartridge as a liquid receiving member for a liquid droplet ejection nozzle, in some parts. The image forming apparatus is also provided with an openable cover 4 that can cover the receiving unit 1A1 on the surface thereof. The cover 4 has an opening and closing unit 40A openably supported to an apparatus body 1A, and reciprocating unit 40B reciprocally provided for the opening and closing unit 40A. The reciprocating unit 40B advances outside from the surface of the receiving unit, while linking with abutment of the ink cartridge by a closing operation of the opening and closing unit 40A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
