<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate housing case which does not need an outer box, in which the number of materials to be used is reduced, in which a work load of packing and unpacking is reduced, which can be folded and stored in a small space and which has excellent impact resistance and thermal insulation properties. <P>SOLUTION: The substrate housing case includes: a case body having a bottom surface part, a front surface part, a back surface part, two opposed side face parts and an opened opening part; and a case cover for closing the opening of the case body. The case body includes two sheets whose peripheral edges are bonded and which can be bent. A gas is injected into a space between the two sheets through a gas injection/discharge port attached to the sheet, so that a rectangular parallelepiped shape is held.
