<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more easily perform printing in a new printer. <P>SOLUTION: From a control unit for controlling printing of print data, identification information for identifying an image forming apparatus connected to the control unit and model information indicating a model of the image forming apparatus are obtained, the identification information, the model information, and control unit identification information for identifying the control unit are stored in a storage apparatus in an associated manner, the print data and the identification information are received from an interface unit for transmitting the print data and the identification information of the image forming apparatus in response to a request from an application unit for generating job information in a format in which print setting information indicating setting items of an image forming apparatus for printing print data and the values of the setting items can be appended, the control unit identification information associated with the received identification information is read out from the storage apparatus, the control unit identified by the control unit identification information is specified as a control unit for controlling printing of the print data, and thereby the problem is solved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
