<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variation in current to be supplied to a plurality of organic EL elements. <P>SOLUTION: An element drive TFT 20 for controlling the amount of current to be supplied from a power supply line VL is provided between an organic EL element 50 and a power supply line VL. A channel length direction of the TFT 20 is arranged in a direction parallel to a lengthwise direction of a pixel, an extending direction of a data line DL for supplying a data signal to a switching TFT 10 for controlling the TFT 20, or a scanning direction of laser annealing for polycrystallization of an active layer 16 of the TFT 20.
