<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power control device capable of controlling a discharge amount from a rechargeable battery depending on a difference between a demanded power and a generated power, and to provide a power supply system using the same. <P>SOLUTION: When a value obtained by subtracting a generated power by a distributed power supply 2 from a consumed power by a load equipment 4 (a deficient power) exceeds a threshold, a command part 13 of a power control device 11 outputs a control command for discharging from a rechargeable battery 3. When the value is equal to or less than the threshold, the command part 13 outputs a control command for stopping the discharge from the rechargeable battery 3. A power controller 12 controls charge and discharge of the rechargeable battery 3 depending on the control command from the command part 13. Although a DC power discharged from the rechargeable battery 3 is converted into an AC power by a DC/AC converter to be supplied to the load equipment 4, since the conversion efficiency of the DC/AC converter decreases as the output power decreases, the command part 13 stops the discharge of the rechargeable battery 3 when the deficient power is equal to or less than the threshold, and thereby, the energy stored in the rechargeable battery 3 can be utilized efficiently. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
