<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parting member for an upper portion of a window, which can achieve an improvement in constructibility, stabilization of construction quality, and a reduction in the number of components, while maintaining proper drainability. <P>SOLUTION: A parting member comprises: a flat plate-like flashing part 2; an approximately L-shaped cross-section parting part 4 which is protruded to the outside from the side of one end 2a of the flashing part and in which a plurality of drain holes 3 are formed; and a flat plate-like throating part 5 which is protruded to the same side as the parting part from the one end of the flashing part, which is obliquely elongated to get away from the parting part, and which has a length L enabling the throating part to be disposed in the state of protruding to an outdoor side with respect to an upper window frame attached to a window opening.
