The present invention discloses a method and device for access control of user equipment (UE), and relates to the technical field of communications. The present invention can solve the problem in prior art that a mobile management network element can not perform access control on a UE when the public land mobile network (PLMN) corresponding to the cell which the UE is currently located in is different from the PLMN corresponding to the target cell to be accessed. The method includes: sending a first message to a closed subscriber group (CSG) server; receiving a second message sent by the CSG server, wherein the second message includes access control information of the UE; performing access control on the UE according to the access control information of the UE. Embodiments of the present invention are mainly applied to the process of performing access control on the UE.
