APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MEASURING DISTANCE USING FMCW TECHNIC

PURPOSE: A distance measuring device and method are provided to improve distance accuracy by using an HWF(Hamming Window Function) technique and an LSF(Least Square Fitting) technique. CONSTITUTION: A distance measuring device comprises a signal transmitting unit(11), a signal receiving unit(12), a band filtering unit(20), a signal processing unit(30). The signal transmitting unit creates a signal for measuring distance and transmits the signal to a target. The signal receiving unit receives the signal which returns from the target. The band filtering unit filters an output of the signal receiving unit. The signal processing unit applies an output of the band filtering unit to an HWF and executes FFT(Fast Fourier Transform). The signal processing unit analyzes the FFT result by using an LSF technique and produces the distance to the target.
