<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further narrow a frame of a display panel without restricting functions of peripheral circuit parts for driving respective pixels of a pixel array part. <P>SOLUTION: A bendable substrate, for example, a stainless steel substrate and a plastic substrate, is used as a substrate constituting a display panel 70. A pixel array part 30 is mounted on a substrate body section 70A, and peripheral circuit parts 80<SB POS="POST">A</SB>, 80<SB POS="POST">B</SB>, and 80<SB POS="POST">C</SB>are disposed on substrate end parts 70<SB POS="POST">B</SB>, 70<SB POS="POST">C</SB>, and 70<SB POS="POST">D</SB>that are located in the display back side, with their bent at least one side of the periphery of the pixel array part 30.
