<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell sealing material, with which a solar cell module can be easily formed and which has good transparency, heat resistance, flexibility, and the like, and a solar cell module produced using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The solar cell sealing material is obtained by dry-blending a non-crystalline or low crystalline α-olefin copolymer with a crosslinking agent in advance, supplying the mixture into an extruder, and then extruding and shaping the mixture in the form of sheet, wherein the α-olefin copolymer comprises ethylene as a principle ingredient containing 50-90 mol% of an ethylene polymerization unit, 50-10 mol% of an α-olefin polymerization unit other than ethylene and, as required, 2 mol% or less of a diene monomer polymerization unit, the α-olefin copolymer having an X-ray crystallinity of 40% or less.
