<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment management system capable of embodying equipment management services by a large-scale system, an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, an information processing program, and a recording medium having the program recorded. <P>SOLUTION: An equipment management system 1 has communication equipment 300 connected to an information processing apparatus 100 through an equipment management device 200. The equipment management device 200 includes acquisition means 22 of acquiring equipment information from the communication equipment 300, first management means 23 of setting/recording the acquired equipment information in first data holding means 24 and managing the communication equipment 300, and transmission means 21 of transmitting the acquired equipment information to the information processing apparatus 100.
