<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transformer in which vibration is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The transformer 1 comprises a lower core 2 consisting of a magnetic body placed on a base plate 6, at least one pair of upper cores 3 consisting of magnetic bodies placed to face each other on the surface of the lower core 2 opposite from the base plate 6 side, and a primary coil 41 and a secondary coil 42 placed between the lower core 2 and the upper core 3, and the transformer 1 is secured to the base plate 6. The upper core 3 comes into contact with the lower core 2 on the outside of the primary coil 41 and secondary coil 42, and is provided with a vertical gap 11 between the lower core 2 on the inside of the primary coil 41 and secondary coil 42. The pair of upper cores 3 extends from the outside to the inside of the primary coil 41 and secondary coil 42 in the direction approaching each other, and an upper gap 12 is provided between the opposing surfaces 31.
