<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To intuitively grasp an attribute of a folder and/or a file in a terminal device. <P>SOLUTION: When an operation designating a folder is performed by a user, a terminal device 2 transmits to a storage server 3 an index acquisition request including a unique ID of the folder. Upon receiving the index acquisition request, the storage server 3 specifies folders or the like belonging to the folder of the unique ID included in the index acquisition request, acquires from unique ID/icon display data correspondence information 313 icon display data for continuously displaying icons corresponding to the folders or the like, respectively, side by side under a display mode where a width is reflected with sizes of these folders, and transmits folder indexes or the like of the specified folders and the icon display data to the terminal device 2.
