<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detection device capable of, when an abnormality occurs in one of output signals of a plurality of sensors, specifying the output signal with the failure and calculating an accurate rotation angle based on another normal output signal. <P>SOLUTION: A rotation angle calculating device 20 includes: a first rotation angle calculation section 21; a second rotation angle calculation section 22; a third rotation angle calculation section 23; an abnormality monitoring section 24; and a final rotation angle calculation section 25. The abnormality monitoring section 24 determines, based on a first, a second and a third output singles V1, V2 and V3, whether the respective output signals V1, V2 and V3 are normal or abnormal. The final rotation angle calculation section 25 calculates a final rotation angle θ based on a final determination result of the abnormality monitoring section 24 and a first, a second and a third rotation angles θ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>,θ<SB POS="POST">2</SB>and θ<SB POS="POST">3</SB>respectively calculated by the first, the second and the third rotation angle calculation sections 21, 22 and 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
