<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a life cycle of a fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes a fixing unit 70 and a control section 200. The fixing unit 70 includes a fixing roller 71, a pressurizing roller 72, an oil roller 74, a first cleaning roller 75 and a second cleaning roller 76. The oil roller 74 cleans the peripheral surface of the fixing roller 71. The first cleaning roller 75 cleans the peripheral surface of the oil roller 74. The second cleaning roller 76 has a larger diameter than that of the first cleaning roller 75, and cleans the peripheral surface of the pressurizing roller 72. The control section 200 raises the temperature of the fixing roller 71 to a first temperature T1 higher than a reference setting temperature T0 during fixing processing, and executes first maintenance processing of rotating the fixing roller 71 at a lower speed than a reference speed V0 during the fixing processing at a predetermined timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
