<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate time performance in a multi-tenant environment with high precision. <P>SOLUTION: A performance measurement and estimation device 100 makes an object computer 200 execute software 220 for characteristic measurement with a specific simultaneous parallel number, calculates average processing times of a CPU and an I/O device in the object computer 200, and calculates a time performance characteristic function showing correspondence relation between the simultaneous parallel number, an average processing time of a CPU, and an average processing time of an I/O device. Further, the performance measurement and estimation device 100 makes the object computer 200 execute execution object software 210 executed in the multi-tenant environment with a simultaneous parallel number=1, calculates a coefficient for absorbing differences between the execution object software 210 and software 220 for characteristic measurement based upon the average processing times of the CPU and I/O device during the execution, and estimates average processing times of the CPU and I/O device when the execution object software 210 is executed with a predetermined simultaneous parallel number based upon the time performance characteristic function and coefficient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
