CATHODE FOR LITIUM PRIMARY BATTERY, MATHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE CATHODE AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING THE CATHODE

PURPOSE: A positive electrode for lithium primary battery is provided to prevent the expansion with a lithium negative electrode by natural expansion even in case thickness is reduced by depleting the lithium negative electrode. CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode for lithium primary battery comprises a pillar shape having a upper side, a lower side, and a side, and is contracted toward the center of longitudinal direction. A manufacturing method of the positive electrode comprises: a step of filling granules(430) in which binder and powder supposed to be a positive electrode material into mold(400); and a step of manufacturing a pillar shaped positive electrode(440) having upper side, lower side, and a side by pressing the filled granule. When manufacturing the positive electrode, pressing the granule in order to make the state of the positive electrode contract toward central axis of longitudinal direction of the pillar.
