PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cancellation rate of an optical packet signal.

SOLUTION: An optical packet switching system 100 comprises: an optical packet transmitting device 12 which transmits an optical packet signal; and an optical packet switching device 10 which switches a route of the inputted optical packet signal and outputs it. The optical packet transmitting device 12 is constituted so that gap time between the optical packets to be transmitted can be adjusted. The optical packet transmitting device 12 sets the gap time to a fixed value to be fixed according to the switch changeover time of the optical packet switch device 10.
