<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road traffic information device that enables a driver to make a plan so as to optimize the driver's drive. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the road traffic information device including a portable receiver (10) for one-way radio message designed so as to give information about the necessary time for a distance within a road network to the driver, the receiver including an electronic central processor, a storage device, a keyboard (12), and a screen (11). The storage device of the receiver is stored with a start point, an arrival point, and basic necessary time of a distance for each section of the road network. Further, the central processor updates the basic necessary time of the distance for the sections according to a received radio message, calculates the necessary time of all distances between a desired start point and a desired arrival point according to the stored basic necessary time of the distances, and displays the necessary time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
