<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent thickening and solidification of scum in a sewage treatment tank. <P>SOLUTION: The method for preventing thickening and solidification of scum in a sewage treatment tank is characterized by adding only rice bran to the sewage treatment tank. The sewage tank is a digestion (decomposition) tank used when sewage is infiltrated and purified in air permeable soil.
