<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive roller that includes a porous elastic layer capable of suppressing charging noise, is free from compression set and is used mainly for a charging process. <P>SOLUTION: The invention provides a conductive roller comprising: a conductive support 1; and a porous elastic layer 2 formed on the conductive support 1, and a method for manufacturing the same. The porous elastic layer 2 includes closed cells 4 each using a thermoplastic resin as a shell 3, and each closed cell 4 contains at least one saturated hydrocarbon selected from the group consisting of octane, nonane and decane. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
