<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily remove a book-binding tape corresponding to reception failure without being affected by heat in case where failure in the supply of a book-binding tape, such as a jam, occurs. <P>SOLUTION: The book-binding apparatus 105 comprises: a heater unit 125 configured to press-bond the end face of a bundle of sheets of paper by melting an adhesive, applied to one side of a book-binding tape 133, by the application of predetermined heat thereto; a tape guide unit 115 moved by tape guide unit drive mean and configured to receive the book-binding tape 133 that is supplied; a tape reception state determining means for determining the reception state of the book-binding tape 133 by the tape guide unit 115; and control means configured such that if the tape reception state determining means determines that the reception state is satisfactory, the tape guide unit drive means is controlled to move the book-binding tape 133 to the press-bonding position P2 of the heater unit 125, and if the tape reception state determining means determines that the reception state is unsatisfactory, an informing means informs a user of the unsatisfactory reception and an instruction to perform a removal operation for tape removal means is given. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
