<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform creasing processing while minimizing the driving load of the creasing processing for a sheet to be creased. <P>SOLUTION: This creasing device includes: a creasing member 6, extending in a direction perpendicular to a sheet conveying direction, on which a creasing blade 6-1 is formed; a cradle 7 having a creasing groove 7a engageable with the creasing blade 6-1 while interposing the sheet therebetween; a drive mechanism 40 that causes the creasing member 6 and cradle 7 to relatively abut and separate from each other, interposes the sheet stopping at a predetermined position between the both members, and forms a crease; a CPU_A1 as a sheet-information acquiring means for acquiring sheet information of the sheet to be creased; a pressing force adjusting mechanism CU for adjusting a pressing force of the drive mechanism 40; and a CPU_A1 as a C controlling means that sets the pressing force of the pressing force adjusting mechanism CU to an optimum pressing force for the sheet to be creased based on the sheet information acquired by the sheet-information acquiring means and drives the drive mechanism 40 at the optimum pressing force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
