<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling liquid removing device of a rolling mill that prevents fumes from scattering over the periphery and removes a rolling liquid. <P>SOLUTION: In the rolling liquid removing device 5 of a rolling mill 1 which sprays a rolling liquid W from the inlet side and rolls a metal band 3 by a pair of work rolls 11, a suction box 51 is arranged close to the end in the plate-width direction of the metal band 3 on the outlet side of the work rolls 11, and a negative pressure generating means 71 is provided in the internal space of the suction box 51 to generate negative pressure. The suction box 51 can suck the rolling liquid from a suction port formed on the outer surface of the negative pressure generating means 71 by means of negative pressure generated in the internal space by the negative pressure generating means 71, and it can discharge it to the outside. Thus, a rolling liquid pouring as droplet or fume through a clearance between the paired work rolls 11 can be effectively removed, and the generation of fume due to air spraying can be also prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
