<p>Provided are: a material for organic electroluminescent elements, which has a specific structure having a partial structure that has a nitrogen atom as a heteroatom in an aromatic ring of a dibenzofuran, carbazole or dibenzothiophene skeleton; and an organic electroluminescent element, which has one or more organic thin film layers including a light emitting layer between a negative electrode and a positive electrode, and wherein the light emitting layer contains a phosphorescent material and at least one of the organic thin film layers contains the material for organic electroluminescent elements of the present invention. The organic EL element has long life and high external quantum efficiency even if driven at a low voltage, and the material for organic EL elements is capable of providing the organic EL element.</p> |
