PURPOSE: A data transmission system using a relay server and method thereof are provided to maintain P2P(Peer to Peer) network connection through the relay server without connecting to a specific server like a login server. CONSTITUTION: A data transmission system includes a relay server(104) and a client(102). The client transmits a registration packet to the relay server. The relay server registers the client through the registration packet. The relay server transmits a registration result message to the client. The relay server transmits registration information to a positioning server(106). The positioning server respectively stores the registration information of the client.
