PURPOSE: A lens unit, a camera module including the same, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to effectively block unnecessary light through a light shielding layer. CONSTITUTION: A lens unit(100) comprises a lens portion(110), a supporting portion(120), and a light shielding layer(130). The lens portion has a curved surface. The supporting portion is arranged in around the lens portion. The light shielding layer is composed of a first light shielding layer and a second light shielding layer. The first light shielding layer is directly coated on the supporting portion. The second light shielding layer is coated on the first light shielding layer. The first light shielding layer comprises a first open area corresponding to the lens portion. The second light shielding layer comprises a second open area larger than the first open area.
