PURPOSE: A wire grid polarizer and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to minimize color change rate according to an observation angle by controlling a penetration ratio of each wavelength according to an angle of incident light and to improve scratch resistance and corrosion resistance generated from the physical restriction of a fine pattern of nano size. CONSTITUTION: A wire grid polarizer comprises a plurality of first lattice patterns(121), a plurality of second lattice patterns(131), and a protective layer(140). The plurality of first lattice patterns is formed on a transparent substrate. The plurality of second lattice patterns is formed on the upper side of the plurality of first lattice patterns. The plurality of second lattice patterns is composed of metal material. An interval between a first lattice pattern and a second lattice pattern is filled with the protective layer. A cycle of the first lattice pattern and the second lattice pattern is 50 to 200nm.
