<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna element capable of coping with a multiband in a wide area with a single element and a portable radio unit using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A first radiation element 3A and a second radiation element 3B are subjected to capacity coupling by making the first radiation element 3A located adjacent to the second radiation element 3B. Thus, both the first radiation element 3A and second radiation element 3B are made to resonate at a frequency that is different from the resonant frequency of the first radiation element 3A and that of the second radiation element 3B, allowing a single element to cope with a multiband. For example, the first radiation element 3A copes with a 1.7 GHz to 2 GHz band as a high band element and the second radiation element 3B copes with a 800 MHz band as a low band element. The first and second radiation elements 3A and 3B as a whole can cope with a 1.5 GHz band. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
