<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device that allows reproduction to be performed from an optical disk having various recording conditions without deteriorating the endurance of reproduction. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical disk device, a microcomputer 1 compares the quality of measured reproduction RF signals with reference values as targets to control the reproduction power of a laser diode 3.
