<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing apparatus also applicable to a single-window display system capable of displaying a number of dynamic bodies without restriction on number of screens such as multi-window display. <P>SOLUTION: A video processing apparatus 1 analyzes an input video input from a video input part 3, detects a plurality of dynamic bodies contained in the input video, determines a main dynamic body and a sub dynamic body, and determines a sub picture position by which a sub video is superimposed on a main video in a picture-in-picture scheme. The video processing apparatus 1 performs segmentation processing for the input video to divide it in a main video and a sub video, synthesizes the segmented main video and the sub video, and generates a picture-in-picture synthesized image in which the sub video is superimposed at the sub picture position of the main video in the picture-in-picture scheme.
