<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a salt tolerance property reinforcing member for an insulator that can be simply attached as an addition to an existing insulator to increase the creeping distance so that the salt tolerance property of the insulator is enhanced without taking such expensive measures as replacing the insulator or a device or applying an insulating coating, when the salt tolerance property (insulation property) of the insulator needs to be enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: A salt tolerance property reinforcing member 1 is attached on the outer surface of an insulator 51 having an annular bottom face and comprises a base sheet 2 that adheres to the annular bottom face and an annular protrusion 10 that is protrusively provided on the bottom face of the base sheet. The base sheet and the protrusion are divided into a plurality of division pieces 1A and 1B. By having the base sheet portions 2A and 2B of the respective division pieces adhere to the annular bottom face, protrusions 10A, 10B of the respective division pieces form the annular protrusion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
