摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calibrate an optically variable filter array apparatus capable of selecting a desired waveform of a desired channel from WDM light beams of a plurality of channels. <P>SOLUTION: A wavelength selection element 18 employed in an optically variable filter array apparatus is formed into a line-shaped light reflection state, and wavelength-scanned light is incident on the optically variable filter array apparatus. On the basis of the wavelength of scanned reflection light and the location in a light reflection state at a timing of acquisition of output, the relationship between the x coordinate of the wavelength selection element 18 and wavelength is determined. Consequently, by changing the reflection characteristics of respective pixels of the wavelength selection element 18, the characteristics of the optical filter is changed so as to select an appropriate wavelength of an appropriate WDM light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
