<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program rewriting system of electronic control unit, capable of taking an action only by implementing only software modification of a representative electronic control unit when a program rewritable electronic control unit is added, capable of avoiding an event of detecting reception failure by stopping the communication of the program rewritable electronic control unit before stopping monitor control under communication failure, and capable of flexibly coping with a change of a connection position of the electronic control unit. <P>SOLUTION: A specific electronic control unit, of those other than program rewritable electronic control units, includes a function of request those other than the electronic control units under program rewriting to stop monitor control and to stop normal information transmission onto a communication line when program rewriting start information transmitted from the rewritable electronic control unit is received. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
