摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently collect heat energy of exhaust gas in a part of an exhaust manifold for making high temperature exhaust gas flow. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust manifold 40 is formed with a cooling water chamber R1 between an exhaust pipe part 43 for making the exhaust gas flow and a casing 47 for covering the periphery of this exhaust pipe part 43. In a high load area, cooling water is introduced to the cooling water chamber R1 from a cooling water inlet 62 for a high load, and a cooling water flow is formed mainly in the engine vertical direction &alpha;3 and the engine width direction &alpha;2. In a low load area, the cooling water is introduced to the cooling water chamber R1 from a cooling water inlet 61 for a low load, and a flowing passage of the cooling water is lengthened more than the high load area by forming the cooling water flow mainly along the cylinder row direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
